What’s new: Revisting The Posh Peach!

Hey guys! I know I did a what’s new on the Posh Peach a little more recently than most! But, proximity really makes it a consistent target for me. There’s going to be a what’s new on Lizard Thicket and Sassy and Southern, here very shortly! Maybe I’ll even visit The Blushing Brunette again. Who knows? I’m planning a whirlwind Weekend of content leading up to the Masquerade

As usual, I’ll display my runners up and then save the victor for last! Because, there is a victor. I only did three full outfits for this post, so it should be a somewhat quick one!

The Posh Peach has some amazing bell bottoms, and you guys know I love me some flare. I’m also a big fan of oversized sweaters. So this outfit is way  up my alley. These sunny yellow bell bottoms were on their new arrivals rack, and as luck would have it, they had some in my size. To my great pleasure, they’re not your typical button up pants. They have a wide elastic band in the waist and the fabric itself has a nice amount of give.

I paired this with a pastel large pink sweater. I’ll be honest with you, I love love love this sweater. It’s so soft and light, it’s perfect for the fall. I really liked it with these pants.

This next one is a little out there, I found a Kimono and some white bell bottoms. The white ones, I had seen on their site and subsequently got obsessed with. I love the flare leg and the fit. The only thing I didn’t love was the kimono. I tried three different ways to wear this thing, and while I think it looked okay I don’t think it was something that really suited me. It was super comfy though. And had I been able to make it work for it, it would have been my choice.

Neither of those looked quite right, and I wasn’t in love with the Kimono alone. So this was definitely a hard pass for me.

Moving on to the winner and runner-upin one! I found this adorable dress on their rack outside, I knew I had to layer it. But with what? I scoured the racks inside to find a viable option and landed on this starry shirt. It fit comfortably, but too comfortably. It was a little bigger and less flattering than I felt like it should have been with this dress.

Disheartened, I had an idea. That pink sweater that I love so much. So I gave that a go. It works! I think this is my perfect fall outfit. Just throw on some grey tights and maybe white flats, and you’re good to go! It’s a little oversized, but that just adds some charm. It’s cute, feminine and (best of all) modest.

This outfit now sits in my house, waiting for the temperature to dip into the 60s, so I can break it out. Speaking of the temperature dipping, I did get one more thing. Though on a separate trip. Really, I didn’t want to leave you with just 3 measley outfits, y’know? I made my way to the Posh Peach while on my lunch break, which may have been a lapse of judgment, honestly. Since I’m on the lookout for that new Anastasia Palette that I’m dying for.

But, go in I did and I found something. Well, some things. I  found a front tie purple shirt that I loved, and I had found this really cozy cardigan. Though it’s technically a S/M, it fits larger. I think it might be warmer than my usual black coat, actually. The moment I found it on the rack, I knew I’d love it if I tried it on. I tried to put it back, I really did. But there was a voice whispering to me, “it’s the last one, so it’ll be 20% off“. And that did it. With that thought, I took it to the dressing room and tried it on.

It’s generally more color that I usually go for. But, guys, I’m feeling it. I’m kind of obsessed. At the point, it was the sweater or the shirt. At $19 dollars for the shirt and the somewhat heftier tag on the sweater, I could only get one. I asked the cashier up front if they were going to get any more of these cardigans, in a last ditch effort to have some self-control, and she responded with “Most likely not”. So… The sweater won, due to it’s amazing versatility. I can wear this with (almost) anything and it would add a cute, quirky energy that I’m kind of living for.

What’s New: Posh Peach Edition

Hi guys! Welcome to another What’s New adventure! I went to the Posh Peach after work because it’s been far too long since I’ve visited these lovely ladies. Walking in was a like a breath of fresh air, I didn’t realize how much I missed it- I was immediately reminded that I love their whole collection. I was so excited to see what new goodies they had for me today!

My sheer excitement really made selecting pieces extremely difficult. I did eventually narrow it down to 4 main pieces. I selected 3 dresses and a somehow pirate reminiscent romper. They were all in the expected budget of between 20-50 dollars, not a bad price for the quality! The hard part was selecting the item that I would take home with me!

Posh Peach Romper
Burgundy Romper with a mild Pirate Aesthetic.
The first style I threw on was this red, vertically striped romper. It was priced at 40-ish dollars, if I remember correctly and I see it being super cute with a cardigan and some gold accent jewelry. For shoes, I’m thinking sandals- most likely gold flats. I feel like the fabric may be a bit thick for hanging out in direct sunlight, but maybe I’m just too pale for that anyway. I’d probably pair it with a white headband to add some contrast. All in all, I do get a strange pirate aesthetic, which I’m really living for!
I really like this for a super casual and fun look! You can take it all the way to the pirate side with a gold dangly, gypsy-inspired headband and gold jewelry, if that feeling moves you!

Posh Peach Edgy Denim Dress

The second item, and one of my two top picks for this post, was this adorable denim dress. It topped out at 48 dollars, being one of the highest priced item from this list. I loved the color, being denim with a hint of gunmetal grey. I loved the subtly edgy look of this dress- it made me want to find some distressed tights and black knee-high boots to complete the look. I’m feeling a small clutch for this dress, because it’s absolutely perfect for going to the club or just out with the girls. When I was wearing it, I really wanted to don some black eyeliner in place of my neutral makeup of the day. Seriously though, this dress was too cute and I was absolutely torn about taking this one home with me. Until of the next items.

I feel like the name of the dress being “edgy” really lent the feeling of wanting to edge it up and made me feel like I was in high school again, a slightly welcome feeling in contrast to this terrible adult feeling I have recently.

Posh Peach Romantic Juliet Pairing

This third style was, strangely, juliet feeling. When I saw the two pieces separately, I knew immediately that I wanted them together. Whether or not they quite fit stylistically speaking, is another thing.

This white-on-white look felt so romantic to me- something about it screamed a romeo and juliet feel. I kind of began to regret my black hair with this, because I see it with a blond crown-braid and night dewy makeup. I’m feeling some nude tights and nothing would be more perfect than white pumps. For accessories, I’m feeling a silver choker and some pastel dangle earrings. The dress was a clearance item, and was 20 dollars. I can’t recall how much the Kimono was- it was a last chance item, so if you like it, head on over to the Posh Peach to grab this elegant piece!

My only gripe was that it was a tiny bit transparent. That may have been because they didn’t quite have my size- I made it work, but it wouldn’t zip up. I think this dress requires a slip though, or to wear something neutral underneath.

Posh Peach Boho Flowey dress

Now for the grand reveal- the item that stole my heart and my money! his last one had me completely obsessed- I immediately wanted to tear up because it was a little bit out of budget. But then I remembered something. I haven’t used the 20% coupon I got from their 4th Birthday Party. This dress is so, perfectly my aesthetic. Where the denim would make me feel like I was trying to be someone else. Someone edgier and all around cooler… or a person who goes out to clubs. This dress felt like I was being true to myself. The flowy bell sleeves- and perfect length felt so right. It was a whopping 43 dollars, or 35 dollars with my coupon (thanks, ladies!).

For accessories with this beautiful dress, I’d pair it with a flower crown (with white flowers!) and I feel like these boots work pretty well with the aesthetic. I can see it working great with longer more flowing hair, which means I have some time to wait! I sent a picture of this dress to my Fiance` and his comment that it “looks like me” pushed me to buy it. Instantly, I knew what I wanted to , and when it was in the bag and my rewards program was set up I was thrilled.

As usual, the Posh Peach thrilled me to no end. I absolutely adore so many of their styles and I’m always so happy to find my next addition! I literally rave about these beautiful people every time I visit them- my only complaint is that I can’t buy everything I like from them. And believe me, there’s a lot. They recently got in some Bamboo shoes, which is a brand that I love. I learned about this brand at Sassy and Southern, and they make some adorable shoes!

I’ll go ahead and cut this short here- suffice to say, they have some amazing selections that are fairly new. I definitely suggest looking around their gorgeous shop if you have the chance!

Posh Peach Celebrates 4 Stylish Years!

Today marked the celebration of The Posh Peach being fab for a whole stunning 4 years. Of course, I had to be in attendance- I never miss a celebration. When I got there, the streets were packed with people perusing the street market like they do every Saturday. Today being a little different due to the Pride aspect that Mirrors Auburn’s Pride Celebration that’s going on tomorrow (June 3).

The lovely ladies manning the counter were as courteous as always and there was a worker milling about with a Instax camera to take pictures of the happy shoppers. Behind the counter, was a board with balloons that you could get a chance to pop if you spent 50 dollars. I was determined to pop a balloon and win something, but what would I find that I felt compelled to buy?

While I thought, I drank my Butter Beer Frappe from Starbucks I looked at the snack table hungrily.

They had the cutest alpaca cookies that tasted as good as they looked, cupcakes that I didn’t remember to try and a couple of unique lemonades. Cucumber and Raspberry, both were delicious but the Raspberry was my favorite, personally. The lovely ladies behind the counter offered me a free icee from the stand just outside, I gladly took them up on the offer even during this dreary weather we’ve been having.

I tried on so many different things… like this skirt, this gorgeous white off-shoulder shirt, this beige crop top, and this tan flowy tank. An honorable mention goes to the Navy baby overall dress, I desperately wanted to try that on (and possibly take it home with me) but they didn’t have my size, sadly. I’ll keep an eye out, because it’s really way too cute.

After all of that, I was still empty-handed. Nothing quite tickled my fancy or spoke to me. Some, like the skirt, just plain didn’t fit. And had I gone up a size, it would have definitely dragged on the floor. I don’t even own a pair of wedge platforms, but I may need to invest in them if I want to play with maxis.

The Winners are…

I did eventually find this adorable Salty shirt, that spoke to me, that admittedly I had been eyeballing for weeks. The shirt took care of about half of the $50 dollar requirement, and I’m glad to report that I found a unique and cute denim skirt on the clearance rack. They only had one… in my size! Score! The two items pair together fairly well, if I do say so. It feels quite summery, and plausible for a day by the pool (if you don’t feel like swimming). Just needs a pair of casual sandals, I’m really feeling these from Kohls.

I fell in love with the shirt the moment I saw it on the Posh Peach Instagram, and I’m so glad to have it finally! Now if only I could stop taking so many awkward photos…The two pieces together cost a little over $50, tax included, so I got the opportunity to take out some of my aggression on a balloon. Images of failure from fairgrounds past danced in my head, but luckily, I hit the balloon I aimed for and scored a sweet 20% on my future celebratory shopping trip. I was also rewarded for my purchase with a free t-shirt. It’s quite comfy, and feels soft. I was expecting a budget stiff cotton tee, but they definitely surprised me.

The Posh Peach Shirt
This shirt is seriously comfy- and the fit…. perfect!

The back reads “Loyal Local”, and that I definitely am! Once again, I must commend The Posh Peach on their wonderful selection of stylish clothes and their delightful staff. My only wish in retrospect is that I had tried one of the cupcakes.
